The Incomparable Warmth of Natural Stone

There is something really wonderful about the natural warmth and versatility of stone.

For many, it is the epitomy of earthiness. It has a look and feel that nothing manmade could ever come close to.

While at first glance,
a chunk of mineral may seem lacking in luster, there is beauty simply waiting to be found.

There is a fascinating variance of color and texture in so many of the rocks and minerals the earth has produced.

Some display their fine quality even in their natural state, and add raw beauty to whatever they may adorn. Others may appear somewhat dull at first; their secret remains hidden beneath a dusty surface. Then they are opened, and polished, and their beauty is revealed! Swirls of color and striking patterns delight our senses and lend an almost surreal beauty to the earthly object.

How amazing to think that such an array of colors and forms were created by the mingling and solidifying of various minerals and chemicals. Each stone has a story to tell, each was created by its own process which resulted in its unique color or pattern.

But no matter how different in appearance, they all have one thing in common: each and every one you see began as a part of the earth, the same earth which you and I live and walk upon.

No wonder wearing stone next to one's skin brings a sense of intimacy and connectedness with the world around us.
