A headdressing can add just the right touch to your Renaissance wear. What makes these crocheted headdresses really special is that they can also be adjusted and worn around the neck as a choker, as high or low as you like!

I do a great deal of work with embroidery floss. It's a bit more challenging to work with than regular crochet thread, but the boon for you is that it allows you to choose almost any color imaginable! Embroidery floss is available in so many shades, you'll have trouble choosing just one!
The floss lends a very soft feel to the crochetwork, as well as a slight sheen.

Below are just two examples of color combinations and designs that can be done.

Both of the headdresses pictured above feature decorative closures which can be worn to the front or back. To wear as a choker, the diameter is adjusted by simply inserting the hooked end of the closure anywhere into the crochetwork, as shown in the lower right photo. The overall length of each piece can also easily be increased or decreased to get the exact size you require.
